Sunday 15th April Plate Competition @ Mundford FC
B
randon lads under 8's have just won through to the South Norfolk League Plate Final. In lovely conditions at Mundford FC, the boys played 3, 14 minute games against, Watton, Bulldogs and New Buckenham. The boys narrowly lost their first game 0 - 1 against Watton, but then bounced back with a 3 -0 win versus Bulldogs, which then set up a nervous last game against New Bucks, knowing that only a victory for them and hoping that Watton may slip up against Bulldogs would see them through. After going a goal down, the boys battled hard and got back into the game through an own goal. This gave the boys some more spirit and they managed to score to give them the lead. On the other pitch Bulldogs were holding Watton and the final whistle blew for a final score of 0 - 0. Brandon now knew that they needed to hang on to their lead to make the final, which they did. Well done to all the boys who took part, and lets hope for a brilliant Plate final.
The final will be held at Watton FC on the 6th May kick-off time to be confirmed.
