Sat 15 March 2008 Brandon Lads 0 Rocklands 5
Brandon entertained Rocklands in their last league game of the season, knowing that they must compete hard against their high flying opponents. An even first few minutes, but Rocklands took the early advantage to open the scoring. Kyle Pearson rattled the crossbar from 20yards out with a tremendous free kick, but it just wasn't going to be Brandon's day again. Joe Manning once again working hard at the back and Keir Leech putting in a powerful midfield performance. Chris Wilson was unlucky not to score when he rounded the keeper only to see the ball being cleared by the opposing defender. Rocklands scored three more before half time. A couple of player changes at half time and Brandon started to compete with a little more purpose. Jack Hills working well along side Manning and then Bobby Smith working hard upfront. Both Pearson & Wilson again causing problems but with no final finish. Rocklands scored once more.
A big thank you from the players and coaching staff to all the parents and supporters of this years under 10 squad. Its not been the easiest of season's but hopefully we've all had some fun along the way.
The team are now set to play in the Leagues Plate competition.

Sun 9 March 2008 Dereham Wanders Stripes 1 Brandon Lads 2
Brandon's first away win of the season in their last away game. A bright start from Brandon saw Chris Wilson, Lewis Kent & Kyle Pearson creating chances in front of goal. It was Wilson who put Brandon in front pouncing on a lose ball in the Dereham area. Joe Manning again in defence not putting a foot wrong. Pearson increased Brandon's lead with a shot from distance that found its way into the net between post & keeper. Brandon's keeper, Warren Steed was replaced at half time due to illness and Lewis Kent took the keepers gloves and put in a solid performance. An Alex Briston shot beat the keeper only to come back off the post & the same player had a goal bound shot cleared off the line. Dereham pulled a goal back which set up a thrilling final 5 mins, but the lads defended well and came home with the points.

Sun 2 March 2008 Brandon Lads 2 Watton Rangers 1
A strong wind made playing good football very difficult, but both teams battled well
in this mid table fixture. Brandon looked sharp up front with Reece Goetsch & Lewis Kent both creating chances and at the other end Warren Steed doing well in goal. It was Brandon who took the lead when a Kier Leech snap shot on a lose ball found the back of the net. Watton still looked dangerous on the break but Liam Miller & Kyle Pearson both kept to their tasks in defence and shut down the Watton attacks. Jack Hills & Alex Briston brought a new look to the second half, but nothing could be done about the Watton equaliser, a strong shot from just inside the area gave Steed no chance of a save. The Lads stuck to their game and came close when Tommy Greenacres fine shot smashed against the crossbar. A very neat through ball from Briston found Goetsch in space and he found the net with a fine finish to give Brandon the lead again. a lead which was held to the final whistle. Well done boys.

Sun 24 Feb 2008 Lakenheath 2 Brandon Lads 1
A cracking end to end match, played by two teams who have not had the best of results this season. Brandon with a change of starting line up,  gave some of the players new positions to try, all looked well with Tommy Greenacre & Alex Briston up front, followed by a hard working midfield of Lewis Kent & Kier Leech. Lakenheath were awarded a penalty, but keeper Warren Steed saved well, but directly from his save a Brandon player handled in the box to give a second spot kick, Warren once again took his position and saved the second kick. Lakenheath took the lead when their wide player was allowed to travel to far without being tackled and he struck a low shot across the goal giving the keeper no chance of a save. Brandon stuck to their game and when Kyle Pearson found space in the centre of the pitch he shot well and found the net. Changes were made at half time
and Brandon took to the field looking for the next goal. But both teams kept things tight at the back with Joe Manning and Kyle working well together. Bobby Smith did well in his midfield role. Brandon created some good chances, but shots were taken when passes looked the better option. Kyle Pearson rattled the crossbar from a 20 yard volley. Lakenheath took the lead again when what looked like some poor marking allowed their player to find the net. Overall a good performance from Brandon, but as last week the result was against them.

Sun 17 Feb Toftwood 5 Brandon Lads 0
Brandon can take a lot of positives with them after this game, which in fairness
does not reflect the final score. The Lads played brilliantly in the first half of this match against league leaders Toftwood, with Kyle Pearson dropping into the defence to cover for the absent Joe Manning, he along with Liam Miller and keeper
Josh West snuffed out all the Toftwood attacks. Reece Goetsch was combing well with Chris Wilson and they both had a couple of chances each in front of goal.
Tommy Greenacre and Kier Leech both played well in the heart of the midfield.
Toftwood did take a one goal lead just before half time. The second half was much the same although Brandon did not quite create so many chances for themselves.
Alex Briston and Jack Hills came on to give Brandon some fresh legs but Toftwood
increased their lead and put the game beyond Brandon when the ball fell kindly to them in the box on more than just one occasion. The Lads should not feel to disappointed after this result, they did not deserve to lose by the final score line.

Sun 10 Feb 2008 Brandon Lads 1 Harling 6
Brandon took an early lead, when Reece Goetsch used his strength to hold off a Harling defender and find the net with a fine strike, at this stage of the game Brandon were really playing some neat football, but a lack of vision from the Brandon players gave Harling the openings they wanted and Harling scored with three quick goals to put Brandon on the back foot. Some good all round performances today notably from Kyle Pearson, Kier Leech and Joe Manning.

Sun 3 Feb 2008 Dereham Town 3 Brandon Lads 3
Brandon started well in this match and chances fell for Wilson & Goetsch, but it was Dereham who took the lead, with nearly their first attack. Brandon carried on playing some neat football but wasted chances in front off goal. It was Reece Goetsch who got Brandon back into the game with a fine strike and this was soon followed by a goal from Chris Wilson to give Brandon the lead. Dereham continued to play well and the home team were rewarded with another goal and then one more to take a 3 -2 lead into the final stages of the game. Brandon left it late but a first goal of the season for Jack Hills gave Brandon a share in the points.

Sun 27 Jan 2008 Brandon Lads 2 Scole 1
When the lads start to pass the ball on the floor to each other, they actually play very well and this paid off today in a good all round team effort, with all the players doing a good job. Reece Goetsch was back in form and scored two well taken goals, his second a fine individual run and finish. Joe Manning once again was outstanding at the heart of the defence and well done to Warren Stead for his first full game in goal.

Sun 13th Jan 2008 New Buckenham Orange 8 Brandon Lads 3
A lacklustre performance by the Lads away at New Buckenham who found themselves 4 -0 down early on, Brandon replied through Kier Leach, but this was not enough to spur them on. Buckenham continued to score with some ease in the second half and despite their best efforts Brandon could not get back into the. Brandon's other goals coming from Chris Wilson & Kyle Pearson.

Sun 6th January 2008 Bulldogs 1 Brandon lads 1
A solitary strike from Tommy Greenacre earned Brandon a point away at Bulldogs.

Sun 16 Dec 2007 Harling 5 Brandon Lads 2 1/4 final k/o cup replay
This match was ordered to be replayed by the league committee because the last match should not have gone into extra time, it should have gone straight to penalties. But anyway the match took place today and again it was played in fantastic spirit by both teams. Harling took the advantage of the slope and went into a two nil lead at half time, with Brandon rarely threatening the Harling goal.
With a sturdy team talk at the break the lads came back into the match when Reece Goetsch scored and not long after, after some good work on the wing from Jack Hills the ball fell to Chris Wilson and he scored into an empty net. The game could have gone either way, and it was Harling that capitalised on some defensive errors from Brandon and scored three more to make the final score 5 - 2. Brandon must learn that the ball will not always come to them and that they must work harder in retaining the ball and not to give it away to easy. Must mention the referee, who controlled the match very well with clear and precise decisions.

Sun 2 Dec 2007 Harling 3 Brandon Lads 1 AET 1/4 final k/o cup
In horrendous wet conditions, both teams played some terrific end to end football. Harling put pressure on Brandon from the off, but the defence of  Joe Manning, Liam Miller, Tommy Greenacre and a very confident Josh West in goal held firm and snuffed out the Harling attacks. At half time the score remained 0 - 0. Brandon used the slope in the second half and the front pairing of Kyle Pearson and Chris Wilson looked dangerous on the break, Brandon worked hard and from a Jack Hills corner, Kyle Pearson headed home to bring the scores level and take the game into extra time. Harling took the upper hand again when a ball that should have been easily cleared, dropped to a Harling striker his first shot was well saved by the feet of a diving West but the ball rebounded back to the same player and he shot home, giving West no chance to recover. Brandon continued to work hard, with Chris Wilson still making the Harling defence keep on their toes. With Brandon pressing hard for an equaliser, Harling scored again in the final minute, giving Brandon no chance to reply. Well done to all the Brandon players you all gave 100% today.

 Sun 25 Nov 2007 Rocklands 7 Brandon Lads 0
This was a disappointing game for the lads with many basic mistakes, leading to Rocklands scoring 5 first half goals. Well played to Chris Wilson who worked tirelessly up front, and to Joe Manning in the heart of the defence. The lads must work hard in training next week to put in a better performance against Harling in the 1/4 final of the cup.

Sun 18 Nov 2007 Brandon Lads 6 Dereham Wanderers Stripes 3
A good all round performance from the home side taking all three points from a hard working and dangerous Dereham team, Brandon's goals from
Reece Goetsch (3), Chris Wilson (2) and Kier Leech

K/O Trophy 2nd rnd

Chris Wilson (2) and a season first for Kier Leech.

Sun 28Oct 2007 Watton Rangers 5 Brandon Lads 5
Brandon started the game well and had some early chances with Goetsch & Pearson both going close, but it was Watton who took advantage of some slack defending and they went into a two goal lead. Reece Goetsch pulled a goal back for Brandon, but almost from the re-start, Watton again scored to give them a two goal lead at half time. Goetsch got his second of the match to bring the visitors back into the game, but once more Watton found the back of the net to make the score 4 - 2. Brandon then played some neat football and scored 3 times in quick succession, from  Kyle Pearson, Goetsch to complete his hat trick and a fine long range effort from Tommy Greenacre, to put the Lads into the lead for the first time, but credit to Watton, they continued to play some very good football and were rewarded with an equaliser towards the end of the game. A good game played in very wet conditions by both teams.

Sun 21 Oct 2007 Brandon Lads 2 Lakenheath 1
Brandon entertained local neighbours Lakenheath, and it turned out to be a cracking game. Lakenheath took the lead in the first half after Brandon failed to clear at the back and the ball was almost bundled over the line.
Chances fell for Pearson and Goetsch for the home side but the Lakenheath keeper was in fine form. With Joe Manning working tirelessly at the back for Brandon the home team got back into the match when Reece Goetsch netted for the equaliser, chances then were made at both ends with both teams battling for the win, with time running out a Brandon cross from the right was met by the head of Kyle Pearson for him to score the winner with virtually the last kick of the game.
