Brandon Lasses 2 Woodbridge 1
SGL Knock Out Cup Final.
The Lasses new
they would be in a close game against a
strong Woodbridge side and so it turned out.
The Lasses took the lead through Jenna
Grazzini finishing well from a corner, the
girls then had a good spell of pressure
until Woodbridge equalised with a well
struck free-kick. Both teams worked hard for
a breakthrough in a superb game and as both
teams seemed to have cancelled each other
out and heading for penalties a long throw
from Dayna Howard found it way through to
Charlotte Howard to chest the ball over the
line to give the Lasses well deserved a cup
and league double.

Bacton 0 Brandon Lasses 4
Brandon had
a great start to this fixture with Dayna
Howard curling in a corner in the
opening minutes. Charlotte Howard then
set up Francesca Bonnett for the Lasses
second and then scored their third.
Dayna then finished well from out side
the box to give the Lasses a 4 goal half
time advantage.
Again the
Brandon defence worked well as a unit to
keep a clean sheet. Bacton restricted
the Lasses after the break and the final
score was 0-4 .The second half was
marred with an accidental head
injury to Francesca Bonnett which left
her needing hospital treatment lets
hope she is back on form soon!

Brandon Lasses 4 Stowupland Falcons 1
he Lasses had a
great start to this fixture opening the
scoring in the first minute form a well
delivered corner by Dayna Howard met and
tucked away by Natalie Nowland.
Stow competed
well but it was the home team who doubled
the advantage with a well taken penalty by
Dayna, this spurred Brandon on and Jenna
Grazinni scored the Lasses third with good
finish from the edge on the box. Dayna
scored her second after Lilly Reynolds
headed well to set her up and the visitors
pulled a deserved goal back before the
break.
Both teams
competed well in the second half and had
chances , the Stow keeper made a good
penalty stop final score 4-1
April Harrild
and Dayna Howard both put in terrific
performance for Brandon and the defence of
April, Ellen Rumsey and Natasha Dawson again
looked very solid.

Woodbridge 4 Brandon Lasses 1
Brandon got off to the
worst possible to this fixture conceding in the
opening 30 seconds. Woodbridge created early
pressure forcing some good saves from Leanne Smith
in the visitors goal. The Lasses came close mid-way
through the half when April Harrilds shot came off
the post, Brandon's chances were limited through
some good Town defending but equally the
Lasses limited Woodbridge to long range efforts.
The second half started
better for Brandon when a well taken free kick game
back off the bar and Natalie Nowland forced the ball
home, this opened the tie up and chances were
created at either end and both teams playing good
football but it was Woodbridge who looked really up
for this fixture and added another three goals to
give the home team a convincing victory.
Player of the match for
the Lasses was April Harrild who once again put in a
very good battling and tireless performance.

Copleston 0 Brandon Lasses 3
Brandon lasses under
14's visited Copleston Sc and put the home team
under early pressure, taking the lead through Evie
Ladell as they failed to clear a corner. Charlotte
Howard doubled the lead after 10mins. with a great
chip over the keeper and Jasmine Field playing her
first game of the season sent a good ball through to
Charlotte for her second and lasses third.
Copleston then put more
pressure on in the second half but Brandon had done
enough and defended superbly to keep another clean
sheet. Lilly Reynolds impressed in her first outing
playing some tidy football and credit must go to a
very good defensive display from Leanne Smith in
goal, April Harrild , Ellen Rumsey and Jasmine
Field.
Dayna Howard once again
created well in midfield, Jenna Grazinni and Paige
Kenny both kept the home team under pressure.

Brandon Lasses 7 Cornard Dynamos 0
After dropping
points the previous week the Lasses went into
this match against table topping Cornard Dynamos
knowing that they need to bounce back with a
home victory. The visitors started strong and
Brandon had to battle hard in mid-field but it
was the home side who took the early advantage
as Charlotte Howard sent Francesca Bonnett
though to finish well. Midway through the
half Charlotte added the Lasses second and good
work by Francesca set up Charlotte for her
second and Lasses third.
With the visitors
having to push in the second half Brandon
defended superbly with April Harrild, Natalie
Nowland and Natasha Dawson putting in an
excellent performance.
Leanne Smith in goal
was rarely troubled but controlled her box and
must be please with another clean sheet.
The Lasses finished
well in the second half with four more goals
from Francesca to give the final score 7-0.
Dayna Howard and Jenna Grazinni both played a
pivotal roll in this result with some very tidy
midfield work, Paige Kenny caused the visitors
problems all match and Evie Laddell once a gain
looked to create chances with some good passing
football.

Brandon Lasses 0 Felixstowe & Walton 0
Brandon found
themselves up against a well organised F&W side,
The Lasses played some neat football but could
not find a way through the visitors back line.
On 20 mins, a good effort from Charlotte Howard
came off the woodwork and the follow up was put
over from Jenna Grazinni. Felixstowe defended
deep but were sharp on the break but once again
Ellen Rumsey defended superbly. The visitors
came close just before the interval when dipping
shot hit the bar.
The second half was
played mostly in the Felixstowe half but they
defend superbly and frustrated Brandon to
limited chances. Brandon's finishing could have
been better at times and they really did not
test the keeper enough but credit must go to
Felixstowe who had a game plan and did their
job.

Bury Town A 0 Brandon Lasses 10
The Lasses opened the scoring in the opening
minute of this fixture away to Bury Town B when
Charlotte Howard's shot was deflected into the
net. Bury held a good line and kept Brandon out
until mid-way through the half when a good
headed clearance by April Harrild to Charlotte
who played Jenna Grazinni in for a good finish.
Francesca Bonnett added the lasses third before
half time.
Brandon controlled the game better in the second
half and created good goal scoring chances only
to find the home keeper in good form, but the
Lasses pressure was rewarded with further goals
from Charlotte Howard 2, Paige Kenny 2,
Francesca Bonnett and Jenna Grazinni both added
their second and Natalie Nowland scored on her
club debut. Another good team performance and
good to see the goals spread throughout the
team. The Lasses defence once again kept a clean
sheet and looked comfortable.

Brandon lasses 11 Bury Town A 0
Brandon started well
with chances from Charlotte Howard and Francesca
Bonnett being ell stopped by the visitors keeper.
The lasses took the lead on 10 mins. with a debut
goal from Jenna Grazinni after good work from Page
Kenny. The Lasses went two up after a good free-kick
by Dayna Howard rebounded out and Charlotte tucked
away the loose ball. Two more goals were added
before half time by Dayna after a good flick on by
Evie Ladell and Charlotte beat two defenders with a
great finish into the corner. H/T4.0
Bury started the second
half well and contained Brandon until mid-way
through the half when two good assists from Evie set
up Paige for two well taken goals. Natasha Dawson
also playing her debut match put Jenna away down
the left and she finished off a superb run with a
well taken goal. Paige then completed her hat trick,
Francesca turned and finished well and Charlotte
added her third and fourth to make the final score
11-0. Leanne Smith in the lasses goal led from the
back and the Lasses defence of Ellen Rumsey with
April Harrild and Natasha Dawson were well in
control. Despite the score Brandon had to compete
for this result in hot conditions but unfortunately
for Bury the lasses put in really good display of
finishing.
