Brandon Lads 6
Brandon started of well with Harvey
Robertson and Chris Wilson linking up well
at the front supported by Tommy Greenacre playing
his roving midfield/defensive position very well.
Brandon struggled to find the back of the net with
numerous chances being well saved by the
Heatherset goalkeeper. Brandon had to defend
strongly on occasions due to a lapse in
concentration at times .Josh west making some
excellent saves to deny Heatherset, 9 minutes in
and Brandon got the break they deserved Tommy
passing the ball through to Chris who crossed
the ball to Harvey who found the back of the net.
Brandon
started to dominate the game now which gave the
team confidence, Chris and Kia now up front
causing Heatherset problems with some good
football ,Josh had to make a fantastic save when
Heatherset broke through on goal.
Another change up front saw Harvey and Reece now
attacking Heatherset and it wasn’t long before
Harvey got his second and some good link up
saw Reece get a deserved goal. Brandon
were now getting all the ball on the field with
Tommy seeming to be everywhere on the pitch soon
enabled Harvey to bag 2 more goals
making his tally of four for the game and kia scoring
a well taken goal at the end made the final score
6 .0 to Brandon a good way to end the season for
the boys.

Lads 1 Litcham 6
The League runners-up and trophy finalists Litcham
visited the rec today and Brandon done a good
defensive display in the first quarter only
conceding the one goal, with Harvey Robertson and
Chris Wilson squandering opportunities to score.
The second quarter saw Litcham add one more
goal before Chris Wilson scored one for Brandon
from a long goal kick taken by Tommy greenacre.
The much superior Litcham then added four
more in the last two quarters as Brandon went into
a defensive meltdown.
Brandon played some nice passing at times
but against this sort of opposition the team needs
to compete for the whole match. Well done to
Litcham and we wish them well in the trophy final.
MOM Harvey Robertson.

Hethersett ‘B’ 1
The
game started with Brandon attacking from the
offset with little defending to be done.
Harvey Robertson and Ollie Gritty combining well
to give Hethersett some early problems. It
was half way through the first Quarter that saw
Tommy Geenacre unleash a venomous bullet like shot
from halfway that the keeper could only get his
fingertips on before finding the back of the net.
Brandon had found some momentum now and Harvey
Robertson soon made it two with a well taken goal.
Liam Miller was having a good game putting in some
good last man clearances. Hethersett got a
goal back when their midfielder lobbed the ball
goal wards and the bounce deceived Josh West in
goal to go over his head. Lewis Kent, Jack
Hills and Liam Miller then had to defend to keep
Hethersett out. Reece Goetsch came on and
Brandon regained control of the game again.
In the third quarter Harvey Robertson took on
three players before firing a ball across the goal
mouth for Ollie Gritty to slide in for goal number
three. The game became a midfield battle in
the last quarter and Brandon hung onto the win.
Brandon were still not at their best today and
will need to improve for the visit of the league
leaders next week. MOM Harvey Robertson

Lads 2
Brandon
were hoping to reverse the home defeat by Scole as
they have been in good form. Midway through the
first quarter Lewis Kent’s long throw put Kier
Leech through on goal and he squeezed the ball
through the keepers hands to make it 0-1.
Brandon were struggling up the hill and a
poor goal kick resulted in the equalizer.
Josh West made a great save from an in
swinging corner to keep the scores level.
Harvey Robertson and Tommy Greenacre were
brought on to liven things up but it was the home
team who took the lead after Josh West had made
two more good saves.
Chris Wilson found himself one on one with
the keeper but blasted the ball over the bar.
Chris had another chance superbly saved by
the Scole keeper.
Shannon Odebrecht was called on to defend
which she done well.
In the fourth quarter both teams
neutralised each other as the game went into
stalemate until the Scole keeper took a poor goal
kick which Harvey Robertson latched onto before
firing a beckhamess shot past the keeper for the
equaliser and his 27th
goal of the season.
Liam Miller who didn’t get on was superb
in encouraging the team.
The team didn’t play very well today
after previous performances of recent weeks, but
they say a good team picks up points even if not
playing well so we cannot complain.
Well done to the ref for a good game.

Lads 3 East Harling 3
This Game was end to end for the first two
quarters with Kier Leech and Chris Wilson causing
the Harling defence some problems, likewise East
Harling’s Number 10 was causing
Brandon
’s defence problems with Josh West in goal
making several great saves. Lewis Kent and Shannon
Odebrecht were defending well when they were
called on. Into the third quarter and this
is where all the action happened. Harvey
Robertson and Ollie Gritty were introduced to the
game and it wasn’t long before they made an
impact. Lewis Kent took one of his legendary
long throws over the defence for Harvey Robertson
to control the ball and put over the keeper for
goal number one. Two minutes later Ollie Gritty
passed to Harvey Robertson who done a quick one
two with Lewis Kent and was in on goal with just
the keeper to beat. The clubs leading
marksman made no mistake and we were two up.
As with all games there is defending to be done
and Brandon relented in this department for five
minutes to find themselves 3-2 down with the
Harling number 10 bagging two well taken goals.
Into the last minute of the third period and there
was a scramble in the Harling area before Lewis
Kent poked in his first league goal and
Brandon
’s third. The last quarter saw chances at
both ends go begging and Josh West make two more
superb saves before the final whistle and a 3-3
draw. A great game of football by two evenly
matched teams made it a delight to watch.

Brandon
started the game well on a very cold morning,
with good link up play between Harvey Robertson
and Olliver gritty. Some good football soon saw
brandon take the lead with a well taken shot from
Harvey, brandon settled into the game and the team
were well in control of all that the improved
Toftwood brought to them. Harvey in the
last seconds to half time scored another good
goal.
The second half saw some changes to the formation
with Chris wilson now linking up at the front
giving some football, Toftwood applied good
pressure with Josh West in goal for
Brandon making good saves and shannon Odebrecht
and Liam Miller making some good
defensive tackles , constant pressure from
Toftwood was rewarded with two goals
,bringing the scores level. The last ten minutes
of the game was all now in brandons end who were
now struggling to clear the balls ,resulting in
two more goals for Toftwood 4-2 being the
final score at the whistle.

Lads 4 New
Buckenham 1
Brandon started slowly, but still applied good
pressure on an eager New Buckenham side. Some good
chances were missed as Brandon found their feet,
made possible by the brilliant midfield play by
Tommy Greenacre who has now found his niche on the
field.Tommy slotted numerous passes through to
Oliver Gritty and Harvey Robertson and in the
last few seconds of the first half Harvey finally slotted
the ball into the back of the net .
The second half started with a change for Brandon
upfront Chris Wilson and Kier Leech now in
control of the Brandon attacks.New buckenham
came at Brandon but were stopped by some good
saves from Josh West and great defending by
Shannon Odebrecht but a lapse in concentration let
New Buckenham score a very well taken goal.
Brandon came back straight away, once again Tommy
was the provider of the ball into the Brandon
attack and Chris Wilson had no hesitation in
slamming the ball into the net which now settled
the team. All
the team were now playing good flowing football
and Chris soon netted his second. Some more
tactical changes by Mick Miller led to Harvey and
Chris now linking up to create some good chances
allowing Chris to get his hat trick. It was nice to
see the side playing so well with Liam miller now
being solid in defence and josh saving the shots
which got through to him. Kier leech and Oliver
were now attacking and were unfortunate not to net
a few goals each. MOM
Harvey Robertson ,but the whole team deserved this
honour today especially Tommy for his non stop
commitment , Chris for his Hat trick and
the rest of the team for their spirit.

Hethersett
'B' 1 Brandon
Lads 9
What a great start, Hethersett kicked off, Harvey
Robertson won the ball, went on a run before
passing to Ollie Gritty who fired in for the first
goal. It
took all of 15 seconds.
Brandon were soon two up when the same pair
passed their way through the defence for Harvey to
score. Hethersett
were not lying down and a shot had Josh West in
the goal beaten but luckily hit the post and out
for a corner.
Shannon Odebrecht then cleared off the line
with Josh being beaten. Harvey Robertson then went
on his now famous mazy runs before slotting past
the keeper. It was Brandon’s kick off for the
second period and Harvey Robertson chose to shoot
and blow me down a bullet shot in the back off the
net. The
inspirational midfield figure off Tommy Greenacre
then rifled one in to make it 5-0.
Chris Wilson who had only been on for a
couple of minutes then scored just before half
time. Lewis Kent was brought on for the second half bolstering the
midfield and making use of his excellent long
throws. It was business as usual for Brandon as Harvey Robertson went
on another run before squeezing a shot past the
keeper. Hethersett who had a never say die
attitude then scored from a mix up in defence.
Liam Miller who was on in defence then put
in three brilliant tackles to deny Hethersett.
Brandon won a free kick 20 yards out and
captain Robertson curled a delightful goal in the
far top corner for his fifth of the match.
Not to let the travelling fans down Harvey
again had a free kick 25 yards out, this time he
took a ferocious shot which was like an exorcet
missile too strong for the keeper to hold and
completed his double hat trick.
Hethersett came back again and had another
shot hit the post before the final whistle was
blown. A
mention to the home referee who had a great game.

Lakenheath 5
Brandon
entertained lakenheath who have only lost one game
all season and the size of the crowd reflected
this.
The match started with Brandon defending
deep and by the end of the first quarter they had
done their job as the match was all square.
The second quarter saw lakenheath apply
pressure and despite good defending by Lewis,
Shannon and great saves by Josh in the goal,
lakenheath took a three goal lead. The third
quarter saw chances missed at both ends before
Ollie and Harvey passed there way through the
lakenheath defence and Ollie screamed one in to
make it 3-1. The fourth quarter saw Brandon
defending again with Jack, Lewis and Joseph all
putting in some great tackles but lakenheath added
two more goals to make it five.
Harvey made one of his mazy runs and pile-drived
one in
to score a consolation goal late on to make
it 5-2.
It was nice to see ex pre-season player Sam
Buckley score two for lakenheath.
The team should take heart from this game
as their opponents are a class act and if chances
were taken it could easily have been 5-5.

2 Brandon Lads 2
Brandon visited Munford and played out an exciting
match. After the previous weeks performance
against swaffham the team were keen to
impress again, with some great attacking and
defensive play. Brandon took the lead when a
flighted corner kick from Harvey Robertson found
the feet of Tommy Greenacre who had no
hesitation in firing the ball into the back
of the net. Munford were soon on level terms and
the game was very evenly matched with both teams
playing good passing football. The partnership of
Oliver gritty and Harvey Robertson was working
well, with the rest of the team following suit.
Great defending play from Tommy and jack along
with some great saves by josh west keeping the
score level. Munford edged ahead but
Brandon kept their heads. In the last ten
minutes Brandon were awarded a free kick which was
coolly taken by Harvey who slotted the
ball into the back of the net. Final score
was 2.2, which was a fair reflection on an
evenly matched game. A good all round team
performance from Brandon. MOM Harvey

Brandon eagerly awaited this return match after
losing 5-3 in the away fixture.
The lads started the better and it was
plain to see were up for this game.
The first goal was soon to come in the
first quarter, Lewis kents throw in was flicked on
by Harvey Robertson to Chris Wilson who slotted
home from close range.
A few moments later the same trio combined
again for a simple tap in for Chris.
Swaffham had breakaway chances but the
great defending and goalkeeping from Shannon
Odebrecht and Josh West kept them firmly out.
In the second quarter Harvey Robertson took
a fierce corner which the Swaffham keeper could
not hold and we scored again.
Brandon made changes at half time bringing
on Ollie Gritty and Tommy Greenacre and both these
players got stuck in with some grunt to keep the
game at stalemate through the third period.
Kier Leech came on for the last quarter and
this is when Brandon really upped the pace.
From an Ollie Gritty corner, Kier Leech got
on the end of the ball and coolly chipped the
keeper with his left foot in to the far corner.
4-0 up and the home fans couldn’t believe it.
The game was to get better after Harvey Robertson
dispossessed a defender and clinically slotted
past the keeper. Straight from the kick-off Harvey
again applied good pressure, got the ball and
rifled a shot in the net for his hatrick and
Brandon’s sixth.
Brandon then ushered the game to the end
for a great win.
The squad played great today and should
gain great confidence from this victory against
one of the better teams in this league.
Thanks also to the referee who didn’t
have a lot to do but did it brilliantly.

2 Toftwood 1
The
Brandon Lads Under 8 squad, in their first
competitive match, hosted Toftwood and came from
behind to win 2-1.
They conceded a rather scruffy goal to the
visitors when the ball was not cleared from their
defence and gifted Toftwood a free shot which they
tucked away easily against a static ‘keeper.
Going behind was the shock that Brandon
needed and Josh West, in goal for Brandon, twice
made heroic saves to keep the game close going
into half time.
After the break Brandon equalised through a
well-taken goal from Harvey Robertson.
Brandon were now in top gear and were
creating good chances with Harvey twice hitting
the crossbar and Lewis Kent putting just wide into
the side netting.
Man of the match Ollie Gritty controlled a
pass from Harvey to score and put Brandon ahead.
It was a lead that they were to keep to the
end, assisted by Jack Hills clearing off his goal
line more than once.
