Lads 2 Hungate 3
A strong willed and determined Hungate
knocked Brandon out of the cup, despite Brandon
taking a two goal lead via Sheppard and Nathen.
Brandon conceded due to some sloppy play, with
Paul and Joe being the home side's best players
by showing fighting spirit. Brandon need to get
back on track and leave this purple patch behind
them.

1 Terrington 3
The first half was controlled by the
home side carving out chances from every angle
but Brandon were not clinical enough. Then
from nothing the visitors scored. Brandon
turned up the pressure and equalised through J
Green and then some clear chances were missed.
In the second half Brandon lost their third
frontman to illness which changed the shape of
the team. Credit to Terrington who
turned the game and did not waste their chances.
The visitors showed why they are pushing the
leaders in the league and Brandon will want to
put this game behind them and look towards the
next.

5 Shouldham 4
Brandon
started the brighter with Jlo hitting the back
of the net within minutes from some fine
build up work. Soon after J Green
smashed home after a second bite at his free
kick and then came a great header from Ollie,
this came after unselfish play from J Green.
Brandon continued to press and showed their
worth and soon came their fourth when J Green
lashed the bouncing ball goalwards just in
front of the keeper and it went in.
Brandon started the second half a bit sleepy and
conceded an unlucky penalty, although Harrison
pulled off a great penalty save Brandon were the
slowest to react and the opposition slotted home
the rebound. Then their heads dropped and
Shouldham fought hard to bring it back to 4-3.
Then the Lads started to realise they were
giving the game away and some good play saw a
cross from Sheppard, who again played well,
turned in by Green. Shouldham rallied
but it was too late in the end. The match
was exciting to watch.

6 Mattishall 0
Wind and rain could not stop Brandon from their
fine passing, but to be fair Mattishall were a
lot better than the score reflects with them
playing quick passing and unlucky to find
Brandon's keeper and defence on form. For
Brandon Sheppy played out of his skin and showed
good skill and strength, hitting the back
of the net twice. Nathen as ever, twisted
the defence inside-out and scored a hat trick,
including one from the spot. Josh Green
had a shot which Mattishall's defender deflected
passed his own keeper to make it six, but still
the visitors pushed Brandon until the end and
showed great sportsmanship. One Brandon
parent and one Mattishall parent ran the line
and did well, with the referee also having a
fine game. We would like to wish
Mattishall well in the league.

Felixstowe
& Walton 6 Brandon Lads 2
Brandon
went 2-0 up in the first half and looked good
for it, with goals from J Green and Nathen
rocking the home side, however Felixstowe piled
the pressure on and soon took control.
Felixstowe looked a bit sharper and their
visitors looked a bit tired.
Then the home side netted twice to even
up the score and by now Brandon were a bit
erratic in their performance and went behind.
The lads seem to give up hope a bit and
soon leaked a few goals.
Brandon will look at the good and bad
bits and will want to work on it.

8 Hungate 1
As the score shows, Brandon were in total
control of this match and that's could have
had more goals but for a great performance from
the Hungate 'keeper who pulled off some good
saves. Josh Green was as deadly as ever,
linking up well to score six goals, Ollie worked
hard and earned his goal to make seven and
late in the game Sheppy slotted home from a good
build up. Brandon's back three worked hard
as ever, with Harrison looking untroubled, Chas
played out of his skin along with Nathen
storming up the wings. Rhys came close
with a header from a corner. Brandon's U13
coaches would like to thank the Lads for giving
us great pleasure in watching decent football
played the right way, well done lads.

1 Brandon Lads 7
Brandon put on a great display of football to
show us all the correct way to play. It
was worth getting up early to watch! The
passing was crisp and movement first class, the
wide players worked their socks off and
new boy Jlo struck first with a great header.
His overall display showed a lot of promise.
Young Chas weaved down the left linking with
Josh Green who inturn was involved in most of
the goals. Joe Keane showed his true
colours with a fine display, holding the
midfield well and Nathan and Preston with their
non-stop running. Nathan bagged two goals, and J
Green, Preston, Chas, Shep and Jlo all
getting one each. A special mention to the
ref who we thought was superb.

5 Downham Market 1
A fine display from Brandon showing great
possession. The Lads topped off a great
game with goals from Green (2), Nathen
(2) and super sub Preston. In all, the
lads showed great skill and team play and could
have had a hatful of goals if it wasn't for the
visitors' keeper. A mention also for the
ref.

3 Brandon Lads 2
Its a shame to start the season with a loss.
Anyway, after going one nil down Brandon
fought back with J Green and N Wright both
slotting home to make it 2-1. The Lads
continued their good play but did not clear a long
ball and were punished from a corner.
