0 Bulldogs 'A' 1
Brandon under 10's this week entertained
Bulldogs "A" Bulldogs started
brighter and worked hard for ball but for some
solid defending from Welham and Moffatt could
have troubled stand in keeper Hodgson.Brandon
came into life mid way through the first half
with Webber and Jagroop going close and
Underwood causing Bulldogs problems with his
skill and pace but it was Bulldogs who took
the lead with a fine run and cool finish.
At half time
Stevenson was introduced for Hartley and
immediately put some fight into Brandons game
and despite chance upon chance Brandon were
unable to score with the Bulldogs defence and
keeper in fine form, another good passing
display by Brandon without the result. A
excellent game played in great spirit by both
teams but unfortunatly for Brandon loosing
1-0. MOM Levi Jagroop

Attleborough
0 Brandon Lads 6
This
week Brandon were in action away to Attlebourgh
after 4 weeks with no game and for the first
time this season were able to take a full squad.
Both teams looked like they had not played for a
while but it was Brandon who edged the early
stages with excellent play from both Levi
Jagroop and Jack Hayhoe, Hayhoe supplied the
corner for Webber to open the scoring with a
cool finish. Brandon continued to pressure
Attlebourgh with any attack calmly dealt with by
the impressive Liam Moffatt and Jake Welham, mid
way through the first half Casey Underwood
scored to make it 2 – 0 and Jagroop adding the
third just before half time.
The second half brought the introduction of
Hartley, Hodgson and Stevenson with Brandon by
now making all the play and it was no surprise
when Underwood scored his second of the game
after a fine solo run, Hartley added to the
total after another corner from Hayhoe and
Underwood completed his hat trick with a cool
chip over the keeper and to cap another fine
performance Liam Moffatt scored his first ever
league goal for Brandon, but for a superb
display from the Attlebourgh keeper this could
have been many more with Stevenson,Welham and
Hayhoe all having chances saved well.
Before
the match the player of the month trophy was
awarded deservedly to Liam Moffatt for December.

Mundford
0 Brandon Lads 5
Today Brandon travelled to Mundford
"B" and pressured Mundford from the
kick off, with the midfield working hard to shut
any Mundford attack out but causing problems
with their pace and movement especially the
impressive Callum Hartley. Brandon took
the lead through top goal scorer Casey Underwood
and should have scored more but for some good
defending and goal keeping. Brandon did
get a second before half time when Jack Hayhoe
struck from distance.
The second half saw Brandon continue to pressure
but not able to take advantage and a rare
Mundford attack gained them a penalty but Alex
Gristock saved well and this lifted Brandon with
Hayhoe and Underwood both scoring again before
Callum Hartley scored his first of the season
from a Welham corner to top an excellent
individual performance. A well earned victory
played in good spirit by both teams with credit
to Mundford for not giving up. MoM -
Callum Hartley.

Swaffham
9 Brandon Lads 1
This
week Brandon visited a very strong Swaffham side
and started positively with the whole team
working hard and causing Swaffham problems and
not allowing them to get into the game. After fifteen minutes Swaffham came into the game and scored
four goals in quick succession but Brandon
continued to push and from Callum Hartley’s
pin point through ball Casey Underwood scored
his 10th of the season.
In the second half Swaffham came out strongly
and pushed Brandon back and scored five goals in
quick succession.
With fifteen minutes to go Brandon found
their form again and pushed Swaffham, with the
excellent Callum Webber causing the Swaffham
defence problems, but for some bad finishing and
good defending Brandon could have made the score
line more respectable.
Despite
loosing Brandon can take a lot from this game
and hopefully bounce back in the next game. MOM – Jack Hayhoe but a Callum Webber deserves credit for
another fine performance.

Harling
3 Brandon Lads 2
This week Brandon travelled to East Harling and
started very brightly on a small pitch. Strikers
Casey Underwood and Callum Webber started
exceptionally well causing Harling countless
problems with their pace and movement and the
support of Jack Hayhoe and Lewis Stevenson saw
Brandon hit the wood work four times in the
first half but unable to break the dead lock, at
the other end Alex Gristock was exceptional when
called on.
The second half started as the first finished
with Brandon on the attack and Brandon were
awarded a penalty for handball but failed to
convert, Underwood did get Brandon’s first
from some excellent work by Hayhoe resulted in a
cool finish, this prompted Harling into life and
saw Brandon go three goals down in 10 minutes
through some good finishing and some sloppy
marking. Brandon continued to push for goals and
could have scored many but for some poor
finishing and great goal keeping by Harling,
Jake Welham saw a goal-bound free kick deflected
over near time before Casey Underwood got his
second deserved goal of the game but was unable
to find the winner. Excellent performances
from Underwood, Webber, Hartley and Gristock in
a game that should have been won easily by
Brandon. MOM Casey Underwood

3 Watton Wanderers 1
This week Brandon were at home to Watton
Wanderers and keen to make up for last weeks
defeat. Both Teams started brightly with Watton
scoring the first goal midway through the first
half. Brandon replied with a well taken goal by
the impressive Casey Underwood, this seemed to
spark Brandon into life with Jack Hayhoe, Lewis
Stevenson and Levi Jagroop playing some
excellent passing football which resulted in
Underwood getting his second of the match from a
pin point cross from Hayhoe.
The second half saw Watton apply pressure to
Brandon but some excellent goal keeping from
Alex Gristock kept Brandon’s lead intact, 10
minutes from the end Underwood scored
Brandon’s third to complete his hat trick,
both Callum Webber and Callum Hartley had
excellent games when they came on as substitutes
and on that form will be pushing for starting
positions next week.
Well
done to MOM Casey Underwood for his well
deserved and first ever hat trick.

Watton
Rangers 8 Brandon Lads 1
This
week Brandon travelled to last seasons champions
Watton, with 3 key players missing this was
always going to be a tough test for Brandon. In
very wet conditions Watton got off to a flying
start and were soon 4 goals up but credit to
Brandon who did not give up and battle for every
ball. Brandon’s only chance of the first half
came from a Jake Welham free kick, which went
just wide. The second half continued as the
first with Watton putting Brandon under constant
pressure and scoring 4 more goals, Brandon were
awarded a penalty mid way through the second
half but failed to convert, the introduction of
Liam Moffatt did liven Brandon up and this
enabled Casey Underwood to make some excellent
runs into the Watton half but with little
support he ran into a solid Watton defence.
Right at the final whistle Welham put in a right
sided corner for Jagroop to score a superb over
head kick. Against
a very strong Watton side and with a depleted
Brandon side this was no disgrace and if
Underwood, Hayhoe and Jagroop continue to
improve with each game then things will get
better.
MoM – Casey Underwood

Silfield
6 Brandon Lads 6
This week Brandon travelled to Silfield in the
league to play a side that last year beat
Brandon heavily on both occasions. Brandon
started this week again at a frantic pace and
completely out played Silfield for the first 20
minutes with everyone of the team performing to
the highest standard playing fluent passing
football and deservedly going three goals up,
Jagroop, an own goal and a stunning effort from
Underwood. Stevenson and Jargroop had a number
of chances to kill the game with in this 20
minutes but good defending and some brilliant
goal keeping by Silfield kept the score down.
Brandon went to sell for the last 10 minutes of
the half conceding 2 sloppy goals.
Silfield
came out after half time and attacked Brandon
from the off scoring 2 quick goals forcing
Brandon to chase the game, Heyhoe got Brandon
back on level terms with a mazy run and cool
finish only for Silfield to score again from the
kick off, Underwood scored his second of the
game and was only denied a hat trick by the
Silfield keeper. With 5 minutes remaining
Silfield took the lead again but only for Webber
hit a fine strike to level the scores. Final
score Silfield 6 Brandon 6
A
highly entertaining game, which Brandon should
have won but credit to Silfiled for persistence.

Lads 3 Attleborough 2
Brandon started their league campaign at home to
Attleborough last week. Brandon started the
brighter and played some excellent passing
football and was unlucky not to be the lead in
the first 5 minutes, Brandon did take the lead
when one of the Attleborough players handled the
ball on the edge of their area, and Jake Welham
scored from the resulting free kick. Brandon
continued to wok hard with Lewis Stevenson
having a great game in front of the Brandon
defence and Heyhoe and Underwood causing the
Attleborough defence countless problems with
Heyhoe adding the second goal shortly before
half time.
The second half Brandon started to tire allowing
Attleborough back into the game with a sloppy goal, this
spurred Brandon back into life and Casey
Underwood grabbed his first goal of the season,
Jargroop and Heyhoe continued to dominate the
midfield but a defensive error 10 minutes from
time allowed Attlebourgh back into the game.
Brandon were awarded a penalty shortly before
time which Welham took only to see the keeper
make a fantastic save, at the other end Gristock
pulled off at great save in the dying seconds to
keep the final score at 3-2 to Brandon.
A brilliant first performance, with every player
taking credit for this win.
