Bury Town 4
Brandon Lads 5
Two very different
types of teams played a very competitive game,
with Brandon enjoying the early stages but
as the skies opened, the conditions suited
Bury's very direct up-and-over play.
Brandon went three goals down with defensive
slips playing a big part. David farrell gave
Brandon hope firing in, only for Bury to score
again. HT 4-1
In the second half
Brandon dominated, playing some exceptional
passing football and after good work by Jack
Goodrham, Darren Flack fired home. Flack
then added his second after more good play.
After a good run by Tom Brooks Brandon won a
free kick on the edge of the area and Matt Wharf
fired home. With Brandon creating good
chances Ian Parker, Farrell and Goodrham all
went close. From a Brooks corner Jack
Paveley rose above everyone to fire a
unstoppable header home. A superb
footballing performance from all the Brandon
team for a deserved win.

Wetherden
& Haughley 1 Brandon Lads 1
A poor first half from Brandon who
struggled to break down a packed Wetherden
defence. Brandon found themselves restricted
to half chances as several players played below
their best. HT 0-0
Brandon improved slightly in the second half and
started to create some better chances before a
good claim for a penalty went against Brandon. David
Farrell then went clear, chipped the keeper, and
with Brandon celebrating, the ball bounced up and
off the cross bar into the keepers arms.
Brandon eventually scored when Farrell fired home.
Ian Parker, Tom Brooks, Sam Hernandez and Jack
Paveley all drove Brandon on to finish the game
but with only five minutes left, Wetherden
equialized after careless play from a good
attacking positions and casual defending.

If only Brandon could have been as good
in front of goal as Walsham, Joseph Clements
in the Brandon goal was a spectator but Walsham
created three chances and scored two as Brandon
wasted chance after chance. David Farrell x
2, Matt Barton and Ian Parker gave Brandon a 1-4
advantage at half time.
Walsham played five at the back and at time this
game was more like attack against defence as
Branodn dominated. Jack Paveley headed home,
David Farrell volleyed home, Matt Wharf one on one
with the keeper slotted home and Darren Flack
fired home. Farrell added his fourth
and Brandon's ninth for a convincing win which
should have been much more. MoM Tom Brooks.

Four goals were all Brandon had to show
for a half which they dominated, David Farrell
(2), Tom Brooks and Ian Parker all scored as
Brandon created chances with some excellent
passing and movement. H-t 0-4
Brandon wrapped the game up starting strong in the second
half scoring three quick goals, Sam
Hernandez, Farrell and Matt Barton were all on
target. With Brandon looking for goals to
improve their goal difference, a rare Moreton shot
from distance saw Joseph Clements tip over.
Farrell , Brooks and Farrell, with his fifth,
completed the scoring. A Brandon
player, who shall remain anonymous, MB, had the
miss of the game doing a Lunjberg. An
excellent performance by Brandon.

Mildenhall
Independents 1 Brandon Lads 3
An under strength
Brandon started slow and were second best in the
early stages and it was no surprise when
Mildenhall took the lead. An outstanding
tip over by Joseph Clements kept Brandon in the
game. Darren Flack, moving to the centre
of defence along side Sam Hernandez, made
Brandon more solid. Joint man of the match
saw Matt Wharf cross for Hernandez to head home.
HT1-1
A much more positive
Brandon in the second half adapted to the very
small pitch and Wharf put Brandon into the lead.
Jack Goodrham, Ian Parker and Wharf could have
added to the score before Hernandez wrapped the
game up with his second goal.

After Brandon missed
good early chances it was Joseph Clements who
pulled off two excellent saves to deny Hadleigh.
Brandon scored through David Farrell and Matt
Barton but Brandon's first half was well below
their best. HT 2-0.
Brandon raised their
game in the second half and totally out played
Hadleigh, Brandon were first to the ball, tackled
and passed well as they played some superb
football. Darren Flack, Jack Goodrham (2),
David Farrell (2) to complete his hat-trick and
Matt Barton all scored but for some good
goalkeeping, woodwork and wasted chances it could
and should have been more.

Brandon started well,
adapting to the poor conditions. Jack
Goodrham and David Farrell both went close as
Brandon wasted good chances to score.
Redgrave took a shock lead on a rare attack.
Brandon continued to create chances but
Redgrave defended with numbers and scrapped for
every ball. Darren flack and Matt Barton
both went close before Goodrham got Brandon level.
HT 1-1
Farrell scored to put
Brandon into the lead but although Tom Brooks and
Chris Smith had good chances, Brandon didn't add
to the score. A good team performance by

Brandon created some
good chances without playing as well as they have
done this season. Jack Goodrham opened the
scoring and could have added more. Acton
stunned Brandon, equalising with a free header
from a corner. Brandon then responded well
with Matt Barton and David Farrell scoring.
Darren Flack, Matt Wharf both had chances to add
more. HT 3-1
Acton frustrated
Brandon, defending with numbers and pressuring
well although the visitors created nothing at the
other end, but the pressure told as Farrell, Ian
Parker and Barton added further goals.
Excellent team performance by Brandon.

Brandon started the game well, creating and wasting

Matt Barton as the front pairing caused Stow a lot
of problems, linking well together. Brandon
scored another goal through Farrell again and Stow
pulled a goal back with their first effort on
target. Tom Brooks, Jack Goodrham and Darren

line.
Farrell completed his hat-trick and sealed the win

Old Newton 3
Brandon Lads 0
Brandon withstood Old Newton's
pressure with some good defending and when the
defence was beaten Brandon and Suffolk County
goalkeeper, Joseph Clements, was in excellent form.
Brandon relied on breaks and David Farrell broke
behind the Old Newton defence from which
Brandon had a good penalty claim turned away.
Old Newton's physical presence and direct play saw a
ball over the top to find the Brandon defence
flat footed, with the keeper getting good hands to
the ball and the Old Newton player falling, the
penalty was awarded and converted. A second
goal followed for half time of 2-0.
Old Newton added a third but to Brandon's credit
they continued to battle and no heads dropped,
Farrell, Matt Wharf and Ian Parker all went close
for Brandon. Good luck to Old Newton in the
next round. MoM Joseph Clements.

Brandon gave away possession too easily in
the opening stages of the game with several of the
Brandon players playing well below the standard of
recent weeks. Both teams did create chances
but it was Stow who deservedly took the lead
into half time.
Brandon came out much better the second half and
pinned back the home team, looking much sharper all
over the pitch. Jack Goodrham pulled Brandon
level tapping in, after being unmarked, at the back
post. David Farrell scored the second to give
Brandon the lead and with Stow chasing the game
Brandon still had the best goal scoring
opportunities with Farrell, Chris Smith and Darren
Flack all having good chances. MoM Ben Cope.

Brandon mixed their play well with some
excellent passing moves and at times a more direct
game. One such move saw David Farrell use
his strength and pace to score. Jack Goodrham
(X 2), Tom Brooks and Jack Paveley added further
goals as Brandon controlled their first half and but
for an excellent performance from the Moreton
keeper, and same poor finishing, Brandon could and
should have added more.
Brandon looked good throughout with Joel Whittingham,
Ben Cope, Sam Hernandez and Jack Paveley in defence
looking very solid. Tom Brooks and Matt Wharf
took control of midfield and the forward play of
Goodrham, Farrell, Darren Flack and Ian Parker
creating several good opportunities. Farrrell
added his second and the introduction of Matt Barton
saw his add his name to the score sheet.
Moreton Hall played with a lot of spirit in the
second half and never let their heads drop.
Well done to Joseph Clements the Brandon keeper who

Matt Barton and Ian Parker also went
close. Stow opened the scoring with a well

did create some good chances and were unlucky
that some referee decisions did not go their way. David
Farrell did have a good chance but his shot was
struck straight at the keeper. MOM

Bury Town 3
Brandon played some excellent football in
the opening fifteen minutes, passing the ball well
and forcing the Bury 'keeper into some good saves.
He was called to make one exceptional save from a
Tom Brooks' volley and when Brandon did beat
the 'keeper, the woodwork saved the visitors.
Bury's game was much more direct, hitting long balls
for the forwards to chase and on the day this worked
well and put Bury two goals to the better at
half time.
With Brandon chasing the game after the break the
ball went from end to end with Bury having the
better chances as the game went on. Bury
defended well and managed to keep Brandon out, with
the score seemingly harsh on Brandon. A brave
performance in goal by Brandon's Joseph Clements,
playing most of the game with an sore hand.

3 Wetherden & Haughley 0
Brandon played some excellent football
despite having players missing and the reshuffled
defence of Joel Whittingham, Ben Cope, Chris Smith
and Man of the Match Sam Hernandez looked very
solid. Jack Goodrham scored Brandon's only
goal of the half with Brandon creating, and
wasting, some good chances, but Wetherden were
unable to punish them. HT 1-0.
Brandon dominated the second half with Goodrham and
Danny Bowley both going close before the impressive
David Farrell scored from the penalty spot.
Farrell scored his second goal after a one-on-one
with the 'keeper and he was unlucky on several
other occasions not to get his third.
An excellent team performance for the start of the
