Waveney Herons 2
Brandon, playing their last game of the season started
well and controlled alot of the initial play.
Gabrielle Whitehurst had a well struck shot equally well
save by the Waveney keeper and for much of the half
Waveney were held at bay but Brandon struggled
to make clear cut chances.
The second half saw Waveney create more and it was they
who opened the scoring. As Brandon pushed forward
they struggled to take their chances an Waveney finished
the game off with their second. Bethany Stones
deputised in goal for the Lasses and put in a really
good display. Well done to both teams for an
entertaining match! This young Brandon side have
improved superbly his season and can look forward to
next season

Witnesham 4 Brandon
Lasses 3
With a mixture of existing and new players this was an
encouraging performance and most of all a good first
game for several new players. As the game went on
and players were switched around players found their
positions and began to play football . The game could
have gone either way and was decided when Brandon pushed
forward looking for a winner and were caught on the
break for a late winner by Witnesham. All new
players played their part in an entertaining came
(Lauren Coe scoring one goal, Megan Phillips, Jodi
Brooks and Chloe Cameron). WELL DONE !

St John's
2 Brandon Lasses 0
Brandon were frustrated by a determined St
John's side who on the day took their chances. The
St John's keeper once again put in a super performance
and Brandon, who although had plenty of possession,
struggled to make clear cut chances. Natasha
Dawson had another good game for the Lasses tracking
back well and creating when going forward. Megan
Norton and Chelsey Newell both had shots go narrowly
wide. A good battling performance, but the Lasses
will have to be more clinical in front of goal!

Brandon 1
Ipswich 2
Two first half goals from
Ipswich proved too much for an impressive Brandon side
to pull back. Clinical finishing was the
difference as Brandon created chances but failed to
finish. Gabrielle Whitehurst closed Town down
well in midfield and created some good chances linking
up with Natasha Dawson and Francesca Bonnett. Evie
Ladell and Chelsey Newell both had good performances.
Linie Vacarro had a super game in goal making some
brave stops. Ipswich were sharp on the brake, Ellen
Rumsey and Jasmine Field defended well and
although caught on the brake for Ipswich's first
half goals once the lasses midfield tracked
back to support it was Brandon who could have pulled
the match back in the second half. Gabrielle finished
well to give Brandon a chance but the lasses run
out of time.

St
John's 0 Brandon
Lasses 6
Brandon soon found their way in this match as
they took the game to St John's and took the lead with a stunning
shot which nestled into the top corner of the goal by
Gabriel Whitehurst. The lasses continued to press
winning a series of corners and went two up when
Ellen Rumsey latched loose ball from a corner. H/t
0-2
The second half continued as the first with Brandon
continuing to press. St. John's found it hard to find
their way past a solid Lasses defence. Gabrielle had
superb game in the centre of mid-field giving St. John's
no time on he ball, she also added two more goals for
her deserved hatrick one from a good free-kick
into the box by Jasmine Field and her third a good solo
effort. Megan Norton was unlucky not to be on the score
sheet as her shot went into the side netting, Chelsea
Newell tucked the ball away to get on the score sheet and
Lini Vaccaro got her reward for a lively second half
performance tucking the ball away from a corner. Bethany
Stones in goal in the second half showed good hands on
the few occasion's she was called upon. Francesca
Bonnett on the right and Natasha Dawson on the left of
mid-field both played good attacking football taking
on the St john's defence. A really good team performance
well-done girls.

Waveney
Girls 0 Brandon
Lasses 1
Another tight fixture between these two sides
saw both sides being cancelled out by some good defensive
play. Brandon controlled mid-field well with Lini
Vaccarro's energy and Natasha Dawson playing
really well up and down the left. Francesca
Bonnett showed good control and touch up front taking on
the Waveney defence but could not find a way past the
Waveney keeper. H/t 0-0
The Lasses changed things around in the second half with a
lively Chelsey Newell playing up front and Francesca playing
out wide and they were rewarded with a well taken goal
from Chelsey. Ellen Rumsey and Jasmine Field both
had good solid and controlled performances in
defence and when Waveney did find a way through there
was good goalkeeping cover from Amy. This was
an excellent team performance and reward for
good work being put in at training.

Lasses 1 Woodbridge 5
Brandon started their season earlier in the
year away to Woodbridge and lost eight -nil, this
match was a good indication of the improvement the
Lasses have made. Brandon went two goals down against
a strong Woodbridge side but battled back well and
pulled one back from a good move from the defence
through midfield and a good finish by Francesca Bonnett.
Chances were created at both ends but it was Woodbridge
who added another before half time.
Bethany Stones played in goal for this match as a late
stand in and put in a superb performance with some good
shot stopping and safe hands, only being beaten by some
good Woodbridge finishing. Credit to her and Kevin
Curtis for his after-training goal keeping coaching
which I am sure helped her and the team. Woodbridge
added two more goals in the second half but Brandon
played their part in a good and much more competitive
game than the one at the beginning of the season.
Well Done !!

Waveney
Herons 3 Brandon Lasses 0
Brandon
started strong, creating a couple of good chances,
only to be caught on the break with Waveney going one
goal up. The play moved from end to end with
chances at both ends but neither team able to
finish.
Brandon pushed forward hard in the second half and at
times they made some good progress down the flanks but
they were unable to take their chances. Although
the Lasses probably had more than their share of the
ball they will need to take their chances and pass the
ball as a team. Brandon were caught twice more in
the second half, final score 3-0.

Lasses 1 Silfield 5
The Lasses under 11 girls played a friendly against
Silfield in a hard fought game. Brandon started
slow and found themselves defending against a lively
Silfield team. Gabrielle Whitehurst's workrate in
midfield was superb, she defended well and was a
menace to Silfield when she went forward. Jasmine
Field and Ellen Rumsey defended well, Amy Putt
had a good debut in goal, Francesca Bonnett and Natasha
Dawson both worked hard down the flanks. Silfield went
one up, only for Brandon to even the score with a
very well taken goal by Bethany Stones.
The second half saw Brandon make changes with Elise
Burton, Miranda Stark, and Jodi Curtis all having their
first run out for Brandon. Megan Norton, Emma
Rumsey and Georgie Lingham all had a good run out
against a good Silfield side who took the game
to Brandon in the second half scoring four more well
taken goals.

Lasses 2 St Johns 1
Brandon started brightly enough from the kick off,
with Gabrielle Whitehurst breaking through and forcing
a good save from the St. Johns 'keeper followed by
another good run and shot which was followed up by
Kirstin Powell going just wide. In an even game
St. Johns looked well organised and took the lead after
a good break finding the Brandon defence flat footed and
a well taken finish. Both sides created chances
but were unable to finish.
The second half saw Brandon pushing forward more, with
some good chances but the Lasses were unable to finish
and with time running out Brandon turned the game
around with two super goals. The first with the ball
being taken past the St.Johns defence tight on the
left and a good finish from a tight angle and the second
a great lob over the St. Johns defence and keeper.

Ipswich
Women 4 Brandon Lasses 1
Both teams started well and for the first ten minutes
they cancelled each other out. Gabrielle
Whitehurst for Brandon had a good shot tipped over by
the Ipswich 'keeper and after fifteen minutes the Lasses
went one up with a well taken goal from a tight
angle, again from Gabrielle. Ipswich responded
with a goal on twenty minutes, but Brandon were unlucky
not to re-gain the lead soon after with a cracking shot
from Georgie Lingham.
Ipswich made changes at half time and were stronger
going forward in the second half. Ellen Rumsey and Jasmine
Field in defence, and Gabrielle and Geogie in mid-
field battled well with some good tackles to keep Ipswich
out, until half-way through the half when they finally
broke through. Brandon then went on to concede a
sloppy third goal and fourth from the kick off to
make it 4-1. This was a superb performance by a
young Brandon Squad of only eight players on the day.
Well done to both teams.

2 Waveney Girls 1
This was a good even game with both teams battling to
make the break through. Brandon's defensive line-up of
Lini Vaccaro in goal, Ellen Rumsey and Jasmine
Field looked solid all game. Elle Whitehurst
worked tirelessly in midfield and Waveney had to
work hard to find away through. It was Elle who opened
the scoring for Brandon with a well taken goal, only for
Waveney to equalise with a scrappy goal just before
half time.
The second half saw Elle score a super goal to put the
Lasses back in front and the whole team
battled well to gain their first league victory. Well
done to all the girls involved Kirstin Powell,
Helena Lawson, Bethany stones, Emma Rumsey, Megan
Norton, Hanna Cooper and Georgie Lingham.
